Harrison Davis Morrison Jones Congratulates Gina Long on Being Sworn In as Judge of the 170th Judicial District Court
WACO, Texas: Harrison Davis Morrison Jones, P.C. proudly congratulates Gina Long on being sworn in today as Judge of the 170th Judicial District Court in McLennan County. Long was appointed to the position by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Long, who has served as an attorney with Harrison Davis Morrison Jones, brings extensive trial experience, a strong record of public service, and deep ties to the Central Texas legal community. Her appointment reflects a career built on preparation, professionalism, courtroom experience, and a commitment to serving others.

Before entering private practice, Long began her legal career at the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained substantial courtroom experience as a prosecutor. She later continued her trial practice in civil litigation and has also served as an adjunct professor at Baylor University.
In addition to her legal work, Long has been active in professional and community organizations, including the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Waco McLennan County Bar Association. She has also served the community through volunteer and board service with organizations including the Dr Pepper Museum, Mission Waco, Isaiah 117 House, and Arrow Child & Family Ministries.
