Community Involvement

The attorneys and staff of Harrison Davis Steakley Morrison Jones, P.C., are committed to serving the community in which they live and work. This highly diverse group serves as community volunteers for numerous civic, cultural and religious organizations. Our community involvement includes:

  • Contributing to POINTWEST Bank's fund to help the families of the West Fertilizer plant explosion, and making additional contributions to match donations from other lawyers.
  • Volunteering at the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo by sponsoring the Special Ranch Rodeo for mentally and physically handicapped children who, otherwise, would not get to participate in the Rodeo activities.
  • Sponsoring running and walking teams for the Race for the Cure Marathon, which supports breast cancer research.
  • Providing financial and legal support to Mission Waco, which is an organization addressing community problems such as poverty, unemployment, crime, the homeless, teen pregnancy, and drug and alcohol abuse.
  • Offering financial support to Compassion Ministries of Waco, which provides temporary apartment-like facilities for struggling families. Most families consist of single moms with children and represent the largest growing segment of homeless in America today.
  • Founding Waco Community Development Corporation, whose goal is to revitalize the inner city by providing housing for low- and moderate-wage earners.
  • Serving on the Board of Directors for Hillcrest Health Systems and Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center of Waco and maintain an active role as Baylor University supporters.
