Our Success Record

At the Forefront of the Legal Profession

The trial lawyers at Harrison Davis Steakley Morrison, P.C., have always been at the forefront of the legal profession. In 1983 our lawyers won the largest jury verdict in the history of McLennan County, Texas, as of that date. In 2005 we were co-lead counsel in what has been reported as the first verdict in the country against motor coach bus manufacturers for failure to provide passenger seat belts. And as recently as June 19, 2008, the firm won another significant jury verdict in a case of a tragic fire involving a Ford Expedition's cruise control switch and recall notice. Over the decades, our lawyers have also designed some of the most innovative strategies for litigation involving toxic and defective products.

We have fought the hard fights on behalf of our individual and business clients who have been wronged and have successfully recovered numerous significant verdicts and settlements on their behalf. Recognized for their skill and talent, our lawyers have authored articles and have taught legal skills to professional organizations as well as the next generation of lawyers.  In addition, our lawyers serve as adjunct professors at Baylor Law School.

Yet our success comes not only from our hard work and talents, it also comes from the personal interest we take in every case and every client. We deeply care about our clients, which drives us to burn the midnight oil and leave no stone unturned for our clients’ cause.

We have a tradition of excellence in the courtroom and in service  to the bar – years of work on the District 8-B Grievance Committee, service on the Committee for Administration of the Rules of Evidence – both of these are State Bar of Texas Committees; service as member of the National Board of Directors of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA); service as speakers for continuing legal education programs sponsored by local, state, and national legal organizations; service as Board of Directors, Executive Committee member, and Legislative Committee for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Our Attorneys also receive the invaluable assistance of our staff, which includes numerous paralegals as well as a nurse-paralegal, private investigator, and an in-house IT specialist.
