Attorney Matt Morrison | Shareholder - Harrison Davis Steakley Morrison, P.C. | Product Liability, Personal Injury, Mass Tort, Class Action Litigation.

Matt Morrison is an accomplished lawyer who has built a practice representing plaintiffs in cases involving product liability, personal injury, mass tort and class action litigation.  After graduating in 2001 from Baylor Law School – where he was an editor of the Baylor Law Review and president of the Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Society – Matt’s work representing plaintiffs led to his repeated recognition as one of the “Rising Stars of Texas Law” in Texas Monthly magazine, including the most recent 2010 selection.  In addition to his dedication assisting his clients, he has also served on a wide range of civil, charitable, and nonprofit organizations.

Commitment – both to the law and the community – is something that runs in the family.  Matt’s grandfather was a judge in the U.S. Air Force and following World War II was the chief judge for the U.S. Air Force in Europe and Southwest Asia.   His father, also a lawyer, is on the faculty of Baylor Law School.

Matt’s practice focuses on pharmaceutical litigation, products liability, mass torts and class action litigation.  To each of these areas, Matt brings a background that gives him strengths – and advantages – not often seen in a plaintiff’s trial lawyer.  His previous appellate work gives him strong writing skills that are, in the high-stakes cases Matt handles, every bit as important as first-rate trial advocacy.

Matt’s dedication to protecting the rights of others doesn’t stop at the courtroom door.  He’s a past director of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, where he currently chairs a committee assisting in the relocation of a major hospital.  As part of his multiyear commitment, Matt is helping to ensure that buildings vacated by the hospital are filled in ways that meet community needs.  He also serves as an officer and director of the Waco Symphony Association, the Hedonia Club of Waco, and the Dr. Pepper Museum.  Matt also serves as a panel member on the national hearing and appeals committee of USA Triathlon.

The Waco native is admitted to practice in Texas, and is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association, and the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.
